I hope he will be buried respectfully. Leicester Univ.'s treatment of Philippa Langley and John Ashdown Hill makes me doubtful. I can only hope for the best.

Well, it'll be the cathedral rather than the uni., and after a rather ropey start they seem to be taking the thing seriously.

This is a total betrayal of Richard the man and King.
Did Richard choose to be buried in Leicester, and would he have ever chosen Leicester? Every historian and even pro-Leicester campaigners agree he would not have chosen Leicester.

And yet, Leicester is determined it will bury him there - AGAIN! - with no consideration of what Richard might have wished. Tudor buried them there as a deliberate insult and to deprive the country of its king in a worthy grave. Leicester has double-faulted that wrong. Bosworth all over again. People are heartbroken at this outcome  - and yes, some are okay with it - but it is wrong to its core and the exultation of the Leicester authorities, state, uni and church, is profoundly ungracious and undignified.

If they honoured the man, they would not re-inter him in their city but in a place he knew well and loved.
