Introducing myself and question

Hello everyone,

I've been a Ricardian for years and years.  I've contributed to Yahoo forums, but I've never contributed to a forum like this before.  I can't find any button that says "send post," so I'm trying the "post a new topic"--even though I'm trying to contribute to a topic that's not new.  I didn't see anything about this in the FAQ section, so I'm trying here.  

Thanks for your patience with me.  I'll learn.

Welcome to the board. The labels are a bit misleading - it should really say "new thread" rather than "new topic". "New topic", as you discovered, starts up a new thread, while "post reply" replies to an existing thread. And "Send" underneath the text-entry box posts what you've written.
